Find the perfect flour for your cooking needs
Which flour is best for making soft rotis?
▼
Kitchen King Regular Atta is our most popular choice for soft rotis. It's made from 100% pure whole wheat with 10-12% protein content, making it perfect for daily rotis that stay soft for hours. For even softer rotis with a premium texture, try our White Gold Atta which has a finer grain and produces exceptionally fluffy flatbreads.
Which flour is best for parathas or puris?
▼
What is the difference between Kitchen King and White Gold Atta?
▼
Kitchen King is our premium whole wheat flour with a slightly coarser texture, perfect for traditional rotis and parathas with authentic taste. White Gold is our finest grade whole wheat atta with a silkier texture and lighter color, ideal for softer rotis, premium breads, and special occasions. Both are 100% whole wheat, but White Gold undergoes additional refinement for extra softness.
Is there any difference in taste between your atta types?
▼
Yes — Kitchen King gives a traditional wheat taste for daily rotis, while White Gold and Super Fine Premium have a smoother texture and lighter flavor for special meals.
What's the difference between Atta and Maida?
▼
Atta (whole wheat flour) contains the entire wheat kernel including bran, germ, and endosperm - making it high in fiber and nutrients. Maida (all-purpose flour) is made from only the endosperm, resulting in a white, refined flour perfect for cakes, pastries, and light baking. Atta is healthier for daily use, while Maida is better for special baked goods.
Can I use atta for making cakes and pastries?
▼
While whole wheat atta can be used for healthy cakes, we recommend our Maida (All Purpose Flour) for light, fluffy cakes and pastries. Maida has lower protein content (8-10%) and produces softer baked goods with better rise. For healthier baking with whole wheat, try White Gold Atta which has a finer texture suitable for muffins and cookies. Check our recipe section for specific flour recommendations.
What is Suji (Semolina) used for?
▼
Suji (Semolina) is coarsely ground wheat used for making halwa, kheer, upma, and pasta. It has a grainy texture and is excellent for desserts and savory dishes. Our Suji is freshly ground and perfect for traditional Pakistani sweets like suji ka halwa and breakfast items like suji paratha.

How do I know if flour has gone bad?
▼
Check for these signs:
• Smell: Fresh flour has a mild, pleasant aroma. Rancid flour smells sour or musty

• Insects: Check for any bugs or larvae
If you notice any of these signs, discard the flour. Proper storage in our nitrogen-flushed bags prevents these issues.

Can I freeze flour for long-term storage?
▼
Yes! Freezing is excellent for long-term storage. Transfer flour to an airtight, freezer-safe container or heavy-duty freezer bag. Remove as much air as possible. Frozen flour can last up to 2 years. When ready to use, bring to room temperature before opening the container to prevent condensation. Whole wheat atta benefits most from freezing as it contains natural oils that can go rancid.
